A passionate photographer since my early teens, so much so my nickname was 'tripod' when I was at Art College in the 1980s. I've combined commercial photography with my graphic design business Mark Appleton Design for over 30 years. 

 

I spent a decade in Wester Ross on the west coast of Highland Scotland working as a graphic designer/photographer - Mark Appleton Design where I furthered developed my passion for landscape photography. It was a magical place to live and work and it will always hold a special place in my heart.

I had a few years France, a beautiful country with diverse landscapes but it wasn't quite right for me and I yearned for the British landscape and light. I've relocated to the West Coast of Cumbria and I have views of the Lakedistrict fells from my backgarden and a short stroll to the coast for my seascape fix. I'm inspired to recapture my passion for photography and share the results with you.
